It’s been an eventful week. Last Sunday March 07,2010 I sent emails to 3 different places advertising Cosmetic Surgery in  Mexico.

One of the sites was a Service Locator. They match patients with Surgeons in Mexico that specialize in the services patients are interested in. Immediately after filling out the request form a pop-up window opened with a Medical History Form. I completed that form and at 8am Monday morning I received a phone call from a Monica,  She was very nice and spoke perfect English.

Monica informed me that my information had been forwarded to several Surgeons in the cities that I had requested which were Tijuana and Cancun. she requested my photo to forward to the Surgeons to evaluate. We also disused the amount I wanted to spend on my procedure.

I was contacted by two Surgeons by email on Tuesday each giving me a price, and a list of everything that was included in the price. One of the emails had to be translated to English which did not instill confidence. Fearing a communication barrier the Surgeon in Tijuana was quickly eliminated.

The Patient Coordinator Andres, for the cosmetic surgeon in Cancun called me on Wednesday. He was very well spoken young man. He explained the step that I would go through from being picked up at the airport, until they drop you off at the airport 8 days later. The we discussed a possible date for the Facelift or MAClift which is the procedure that they recommend. Andres asked me to keep in touch, and to let him know if  I had anymore questions.

I was not excited when Andres told me that my procedure would be done out patient. I was told that someone would stay with me the first day. After that I would be left at a Hotel and would only be assisted with getting to and from doctors appointments and the airport.

I did not get a reply from the other two Cosmetic Surgeons that I contacted. I called my first choice location again, and was told that the person that I have been communicating with was on location in Mexico shooting a commercial for their  Medi Spa. Hopefully she will be back this week so I can speak to her before making a final decision.

I think I have chosen mid June for my procedure, and am getting closer to choosing a location everyday.
