WOW! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. My progress is right on schedule. Thursday is my first big post-op photo shoot, hope I’m ready. The only complaint I have as of late is the summer heat has caused a bit more swelling.
What I wanted to do now that I’m post-op is go into a little more detail about my journey. I’m sure I talked about the importance of applying for your Pass Port early to avoid rush service fees. I didn’t take my own advise and it cost me greatly.
Another mistake I made was not learning a few words of Spanish before the trip. Although the trip facilitators try to provide an English speaking driver, this is not always possible. In my case the driver that picked me up at the air port, and took me from the MAC Hospital to Club Casa Marino was not fluent in English. He spoke enough to get by, and was soooo charming I didn’t care. I found this to be the case in the hospital as well. There was one day nurse and one night nurse who were fluent in English. They unfortunately were not always available. So a word to the wise, pick up a few phrases of Spanish before going.
That’s it for now. Stay Tuned ~ Starri
